What is a bowl-a-thon?

A bowl-a-thon is similar to a golf tournament in which teams are competing for the best score. Four, five or six man teams bowl two games each and are scored on a team average. Prizes can be awarded for high team score, low team score or individual scores.   

What is the cost for a bowl-a-thon?

Bowl-a-thon rates are $35 per lane and include 2 games per person and shoe rental for five people. Group rates are available for food and beverage options.   

How do I raise funds for my charity?

There are multiple ways to raise funds during a bowl-a-thon!

1. Team or Individual participation fees

The cost to participate includes bowling, shoes and any food or beverage offered. Goodies bags may be put together with various coupons, information, etc. to entice more participation.

2. Lane sponsorships

Companies or individuals may sponsor lanes for a set fee. Sponsors may post signs, flyers or any other advertising information during the event. Sponsor names can also scroll on the scoring system televisions.

3. Pin Sponsorships

Individuals receive pledges for pins knocked down. Most sponsors will offer anywhere from $0.01 to $1.00 a pin knocked down. The money will be collected after the event once the scores are tallied. 

4. Participant Pledges

Participants receive pledges for individuals or companies for participating in the fundraiser. You may choose to set a minimum pledge amount required to participate and offer prizes for reaching preset goals. 

5. Raffle Tickets

Raffle tickets can be sold prior to and during the event for various items. Donations from local businesses are great items to raffle off. 

6. Auctions

Silent or live auctions can be held during the event. Local companies offer auction consignments for charities with no out of pocket costs. 

7. Bowligan

Similar to a golfing mulligan, bowlers may purchase a bowligan ticket to use during play. If a bowler throws a gutter ball or just wants one more chance to hit a spare, they may turn in their bowligan ticket for a redo! Strikz will reset their pins and erase their previous score.

Shoot your boss!

Auction off the opportunity to shoot your boss in laser tag! For only $4 per person, guests can have the chance to compete against their boss or co-workers. Include the cost of laser tag in the participant fee to allow everyone a game of laser tag. Scores can be printed to award prizes to high scores. 

Arcade Games

Prior to and during the event, sell arcade game cards to participants. Strikz will offer your charity discounted game cards for you to sell at the regular rate!

Speed Billiards

Teams compete to see who can make the most shots in a timed period! Groups can be made up of any number of participants. Each player takes a turn shooting until time runs out. Most balls in wins! $10 per billiard table/hour.
